Bobbi:
I don't know if this is what your student is looking for, but Wor-Wic
offers a Fluid Power (MFG 220) course in the Manufacturing Department.
The description is:
This course covers the physical principles and measurements of fluid
mechanics as it applies to the design and analysis of the hydraulic and
pneumatic systems used in engineering and manufacturing. The focus of
this course is on the application of fluid power components such as
pumps, valves and actuators, and the circuits used in machinery. Topics
include fluid statics, fluid motion, internal, external and compressible
flow, and environmental fluid mechanics. Open channels, pipe systems and
fluid transients are also covered. Two lecture hours and three
laboratory hours per week. Corequisites: MFG 110 and MFG 150 or
permission of the department head. Laboratory fee: $30. Usually offered
in the spring.

Subject: [Idag] Student looking for an online Fluid Mechanics course
Hi all,
This is off topic, but I just had a student contact me who is looking
for an online Fluid Mechanics course. He needs it as a pre-requisite to
get into a Master level engineering program. Does anyone know of any
institutions that offer this course online? Or of any institutions near
Western Maryland that might offer it as a hybrid or evening course?
This one course is keeping him from entering an evening masters degree
program, so he is willing to travel (a reasonable distance) in order to
get it.
Thanks. Hope everyone is doing well! I also hope to see you all at the
MDLA conference on March 4-5.
