At the MDLA last week a few of us talked about the professional development courses/workshops we had, or were working on, to train faculty/adjuncts to teach online. It seems that we all do many similar things and I would like to see if there is any interest in getting together to create some kind of shared resources with the possibility of creating an optional state-wide certification process for adjuncts/faculty in online teaching competencies. I have experience of being involved in a national certification program for college tutors and I found that many people like the option to get certified. Bobbi mentioned that MOL had talked about something similar in the past...
