[Idag] MOL and Certification for Online Instructors

Dear All,
I was just telling my supervisor, Jurgen Hilke, about our ideas about state-wide certification, and he summarized where MOL stands on this so far. Apparently, in the last MOL board meeting, there was talk around what projects MOL could give seed money too, and one proposal came up from BCCC on a mentoring program for online instructors. MOL suggested that BCCC relook the proposal in terms of thinking about a certification program instead along the lines of the one Northern Virginia is about to pilot (that was described in an earlier thread in this IDAG discussion).

To cut a long story short, MOL does have money available to start up some projects and this state-wide online certification would be a good project. We would have to get our proposal for seed $ to MOL by May 1st. Do you think it's possible for us to meet in the third week of April to brainstorm an initial proposal to get to MOL by May 1? I am happy to host here at FCC or travel to a Baltimore location if that's a more central point. I know Bobbi says she teaches M/W/F and I teach T/Th afternoons - so  do either Tue April 15 or Thur April 17 10-1pm work for people? Or the following week - but that would be very close to the MOL deadline.
